  • Restoration wizard doesn't present option to restore HyperV image backup to Amazon EC2
Yes - the option doesn't appear in the Restoration Wizard at the SRestore Type step. However, I'm happy to report that a quick check of the MSPBackups console -> Global Agent Options settings revealed the "Restore to EC2/Azure VM option" was not enable for the managed account I was using. Checking this option and reloading the Online Backup VM client interface locally presented the desired Restore to EC2 option. I was then able to proceed sucessfully with restoring the hyper-v to an EC2 instance.

As usual, for me at least, it was a PEBKAC solution :) . Thanks for your help though David

  • P to V'ed server - How best to run Backup from HyperV host and retain access to guest backup jobs?
HI David - sounds perfectly reasonable. I'll circle back with my team and share your observations.

Hi there - installed the product on the host (new computer), registered exactly the same cloud storage account. Selected the same AWS bucket, specified the same prefix via advanced settings. Sync process occured.. Went to Backup Storage and nothing is presented. I have not configured a backup plan.

I don't see the file structure as per the old computer.

I also downloaded and installed the MSP Explorer Pro to check cloud side drive folder setttings and I do not find a drive letter.

    Thoughts?
