I recently installed MSP360 (freeware version) on my Windows 10 computer. It’s set to run at 3:00 AM, but I noticed it wasn’t doing that. It was running when I opened MSP360. I assumed the backup would run as a Windows service or something and perform the backups even if the main program wasn’t open on my desktop. Is there a way for MSP360 to do this? Is it a restriction on the freeware version?
[reply=“Scott216;d1668”] The backup does run as a Windows Service. Can you confirm your PC was awake at 3am? I’d also check the service account you are using for backup.

Thanks. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t wake up from sleep to run the backup. I set sleep setting to Never, let’s see if that helps.
[reply=“Scott216;5924”] Great. Let us know when you have results.
Backups are now running at the scheduled time. Seems like telling the computer to never sleep did the trick.
[reply=“Scott216;5938”] Great, Scott. Thanks for the update.I will tell you that there is a requirement already in the system to add a Wake on Sleep option for backup. I do not have a release date at this time, but it’s currently slotted into the 6.4 release plan.
