"Cannot read x files" not reporting in Event Log

I am trying to tweak how Cloudberry works with my RMM. I have monitoring set to detect failed backups and Cloudberry is triggering a failure event even for a few files not being able to be read.

This in itself is fine. But the Event Log entry does not indicate the “cannot read” error. In fact, the entry reads “Files failed: 0”

Example:

Files scanned: 916536
Files to backup: 2593
Files copied: 930
Files failed: 0

Data scanned: 4012250064020
Data to backup: 2613620508
Data copied: 2610202158
Differential data copied: 2610202158

Result: Failed

Is there a way to clear up this discrepancy or increase the amount of information being reported in the Windows Event Logs?

yep!

Any other leads about this discrepancy?

Two questions:
1 - Are you using Managed Backup or is the the stand-alone CloudBerry Backup? (If it’s Managed, I’ll move the post the correct forum section)

2 - Have you examined the logs or detailed report on what those 5 files were and if the “cannot read” warning is relevant?

In the meantime, I’ll check again with the team, but feel free to open a support case if you want faster turn-around on this issue.

This is standalone. I’ll examine the logs and see what those 5 files specifically were.

[reply=“Jonathon Rosenthal;8765”] In the meantime, the team is going to have a look. But they may need to see the logs, so if I reply with that request, please submit the logs at that time using the Tools - Diagnostic toolbar option. Thanks.

will do. thank you!
