Remove old MSSQL-Backups after changing Retention Policy

Hello,
one of our customers has ran out of space on his local storage and now wants to reduce the retention period of the MSSQL-Database from 8 month to 6 month. However I am not able to remove the backups which are older than 6 month, I can only delete the backup of the whole database. Even a cosistency check did not change the behaviour, there are still MSSQL backups older than 6 month.

The option to delte backups in the agent is enabled.

Can someone give me a hint?
