Was testing the view options feature on my home computer from work and checked off hide desktop wallpaper, disconnected the session and reconnected and feature seem to not function and the setting go back to hide desktop wallpaper. No complaints here just giving back testing results.

This is correct, the setting doesn’t get saved yet.
We are going to add that in one of the future updates.
