I’m trying to restore an ESXi backup from a point in time - using block level backup.
When I run the restore, I select the option to power off the VM and to overwrite the VM. The restore operation fails with this error:
Cannot complete the operation because the file or folder /vmfs/volumes/4e2ee3a4-xxxxxx-ef627/Ubuntu/Ubuntu.vmdk already exists.
When I run the restore from the last full backup, it succeeds.
However, the last full backup is more than two weeks old and does not contain the data I need.
