I have a client with a Hyper-v Core/Host running a server 2012r2 vm. Can Cloudberry back this up as an image for a quick restore? Where would Cloudberry be installed? The VM or another workstation?
This would be backed up to a local or network drive.
In your case you would need to install at least Server edition of the software on a VM itself and use CLI to create image-based backup plan like specified here: https://help.cloudberrylab.com/cloudberry-backup/command-line-interface/backup-restore-plans/managing-image-based-backups.
VM edition for now can’t be used on Core servers.
