  • Cloudberry Backup size limit
    1TB limit means that you can at any time have at most 1TB of data on the cloud account managed by CloudBerry Backup. E.g. you can upload 800 GB, then another 200GB, then delete 300GB but you can't exceed the limit of 1TB. Consider this way we are making our product affordable for users with lower storage requirements.

    of course you can't download directly from Amazon and restore.
    just install another copy of CloudBerry Backup on another PC. You can install 15 day trial (it will work just fine) http://www.cloudberrylab.com/backup

    Register the same Amazon S3 account and choose the same bucket and the *prefix* in advanced settings. By default the prefix is set to your old computer name.

    When you restore the files specify the same encryption password as you used to back up the files.

  • Cannot see my Glacier vault, cannot seem to upload anything
    each upload go through the same process. also you always need to wait 5 hours to get your files from Glacier. It is a very special storage, with a lot of tidbits . Consider it as melding data

    I would recommend that you use a lower-cost Amazon Standard IA storage class. Amazon S3 Standard - Infrequent Access (Standard - IA) prices starting at $0.0125 per GB per month, $0.01 per GB retrieval fee, and a 30-day storage minimum. This combination of low cost and high performance makes Standard - IA ideal for long-term file storage, backups, and disaster recovery.

  • Backing up wrong files
    Please go to tools | diagnostics in the program menu. In the opened windows click send button. The logs will be sent to our support team automatically. This will help us diagnose and troubleshoot the issue.

    In the name and email fields specify YOUR name and email so that we can respond back (not mine please!) In the description explain the issue, you can copy from the original request but don't just say "requested by Andy K"

    Please DON'T send us the log file attached. The log file will be sent automatically.

    when you submit the logs you get an automated response with the Ticket ID. Also you get a response from our support staff by email. you can simply reply this email with your feedback.

    Glacier data doesn't become available immediately. you need to wait 24 hours for the global inventory to occur on the Amazon side, then you should wait another 5 hours to get the inventory for your account.

    The annual maintenance fee covers the free upgrades and priority support. Since our product is very low cost, we don't include the maintenance for the first year.

    We have recently replaced CloudBerry Backup Desktop Edition $29.99 with a new product for Desktop version of Windows such as Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10 with the image based backup functionality $49.99. this is why you see some pricing inconsistency .

    CloudBerry Backup Desktop Edition with Image based backup functionality comes with the same functionality as our Server Backup when it comes to system image backup, but with a reduced price and works only on desktop operating systems.
