  • Problem deleting data to reclaim Amazon S3 / Glacier space
    Hello Michael,

    1) In this case we use standard AWS S3 API which handles those attributes on it's own side, we just use set of commands, so answering your question everything should be usable after the deletion. Could you please confirm that the files are deleted normally in AWS console ?

    2) Nothing like this i have heard of, if the files are deleted they are deleted and shouldn't pop-up in the listings. Also is there a possibility that there is some kind of versioning enabled on the bucket ?

    Hello, thank you for the info provided, but i would strongly suggest that you also follow the instruction that i have provided in my previous reply to get the data required. I have edited your post and removed the files you have provided to avoid public access to them, they might contain your personal data such as files and folder names. However if you will send it to us using the ticketing system it will be private. I also investigated the files provided and i will definitely need a bit more Diagnostic Info.   • Recognizing existing files on cloud storage
    Hello Jeff,

    A bit of clarification, those files that you have uploaded have complex older structure or for example it is simply one folder with files ? CloudBerry Backup is using a specific folder structure on the cloud storage, so for the software to see it you will need either re-create this structure on the storage or re-upload the files if you want to use advanced backup features. If you do no want to use them, you can simply use Custom Mode backup and point it to those files, sync the repository afterwards and continue the upload.

    If i understood your use case correctly, than you can try disabling the cache in Drive by following the instruction below:

    - Click Drive tray icon and choose Options
    - Select a mapped drive and press Edit > Edit advanced options
    - Uncheck "Use file cache" option
    - Find the cache directory in Options > Advanced
    - Navigate to that directory with Windows Explorer and delete all its contents

    After that just create a simple scheduled batch file or Power Shell script that will create a 0 sized file on the Drive mounted to force it update the listing of the directory. There is no such feature yet available yet, however we may consider adding it in the future. Hope it helps and surely let me know if you require further assistance.

    Hello Doug,

    You can do it really easy, when you mount the drive in the software, just tick the corresponding option as i pointed on this screenshot:

    This way you will mount the Drive already mounted as a share on the machine, with the ability for other users to access it. Hope it helps.
