Backup doesn't run when MSP360 is closed

I recently installed MSP360 (freeware version) on my Windows 10 computer. It's set to run at 3:00 AM, but I noticed it wasn't doing that. It was running when I opened MSP360. I assumed the backup would run as a Windows service or something and perform the backups even if the main program wasn't open on my desktop. Is there a way for MSP360 to do this? Is it a restriction on the freeware version?

The backup does run as a Windows Service. Can you confirm your PC was awake at 3am? I'd also check the service account you are using for backup.

Thanks. I didn't realize it wouldn't wake up from sleep to run the backup. I set sleep setting to Never, let's see if that helps.

Backups are now running at the scheduled time. Seems like telling the computer to never sleep did the trick.

Great, Scott. Thanks for the update.I will tell you that there is a requirement already in the system to add a Wake on Sleep option for backup. I do not have a release date at this time, but it's currently slotted into the 6.4 release plan.
