I had to restore a domain controller that is running under a virtual machine from the Cloudberry Backups and when I boot I get the following error.

STOP: c00002e2 Directory Services could not start because of the following error:
A device attached to the system is not functioning.
    Error status: 0xc0000001

I have followed the article here to fix this by renaming the .log file and then also running the esentutl /p but it has not helped.

The cloudberry software is running on the hyper-v host and I was doing the hyper-v backup plan. I restored the vhdx file and moved it back into place and started the virtual machine. Then I continuously get this BSOD message and a reboot. Since this was restored from Cloudberry software, I assume that you all might know why this happens after a restore and can tell me how to fix it.

    Thanks!

In case this helps anyone else, I did get this working. Essentially, I had to rename the .log files under the c:\windows\ntds folder again and reboot the server. Then it was able to boot up properly.
