Turning on encryption for existing backup plans...any issue to know about?
I need to turn encryption on for my backup jobs. Are there any issues with editing existing backup jobs and turning on encryption or do I need to create new jobs from scratch?
You can edit the backup plan and enable encryption on an existing backup. Just keep in mind that enabling, disabling, or changing the encryption setting / passkey will automatically trigger all files to be backed up the next run.
Great! Thank you for the reply!
Can you talk about version 7 and what features will be modified, changed etc?
I wish I could. The only thing that we've announced publicly is GFS - which will make long retention more configurable. We'll make a full announcement to our customers as we get closer to the release. I appreciate your patience.
