What amount of time trips the overdue report in scheduled reports

I'm sure this is published somewhere but I can't find it. My question is:
What timeframe or event makes a backup late?
Is it a set timeframe? E.g. 8 hours, 12 hours or 16 hours?
Is it if the job tries to run again before finishing the first job?
I'd like to be able to specify a timeframe but don't believe that's possible.

Overdue status is triggered as soon as the software detects that the backup plan missed its schedule. You'll be able to specify time frame for such backups in one of the future updates, we're already working on that.
