Symlinks on Windows CBB Ultimate
I'm Using CBB Ultimate for Windows to backup a samba share from a linux server.
I can't tell it to ignore symlinks (anywhere I can find) like I can in the unix and Mac clients
Am I missing something?
Symlinks are not widely used on Windows machines, so currently there's no option that is specifically controls symlink behavior in Windows version. We're already working on that.
So in a hybrid environment I would be better buying the linux client? Last time I evaluated it it was a long way behind the windows software, apparently except in this key area
That entirely depends on your needs. Symlinks are, perhaps, the only thing that Windows version of the software currently lacks in comparison to the Linux version.
