Restoring Full System Backup

    I’m trying to do a test restore of a full system backup from Backblaze however it seems to be stuck on the “Preparing the source image for restore” stage. It starts downloading data but then stops, pauses, and then starts up again after a couple minutes. Is this normal?

    It’s not giving me any confirmation that it’s making progress. Thanks!

    Apparently I posted this too soon. It restored after 2.5 hours after i let it go. The original full backup was done from a VM and it's being restored to a different VM not he same machine.

    It won't boot for some reason. Any suggestions? I'll continue to work on it but if anyone has any suggestions then I would certainly welcome it.

    What's the destination of your restore? Is it a baremetal restoration? The first thing to check is if the new machine uses the same UEFI/BIOS.

    That was it! The original VM used BIOS and the new VM used UEFI to boot once I changed it, it worked! Thanks!
