    HI,

I setup a FreeNAS server and created the SMB share. I can access the directory from the server (I intend to backup) from both Windows Explorer and when I create a new "Storage Account". From the storage account config screen, I enter in my path and credentials and it comes back as "green", connected successfully.

BUT when I configure the backup job to use that storage account, and get to the network shares config screen, it gives me a red light . It will only allow me to continue if I uncheck the box "test that the backup service has access to the selected paths." Right there in the window is says "Credentials Specified = Yes"

So what is going on here? In the storage account config screen the connectivity test comes back green but on the backup job connectivity test, it comes back as can't be reached.

Please disregard. I figured it out. I was trying to write backups to the root dataset. Once I created a child dataset I was good to go.
