That registry hack did make a difference - the software starts now.

The graphics adapter is "Intel(R) HD Graphics 520", in a Lenovo Yoga 710. Searching for a new driver gives "The best drivers for you device are already installed". The driver version is 21.20.16.4627

I'm more concerned about backing the machine up than getting optimum graphics performance, at least for the time being, so that helps a lot.

Thanks David - happy to try anything you suggest. I might force the update to 1909 in the interim to see if that makes any difference.

I'm using Cloudberry Backup 6.3 on Windows 10 ("VER" command shows "10.0.18362.720", Windows update showing version 1903 - not sure why it hasn't automatically updated to 1909)
