There might be multiple reasons causing the delay. HDD performance, number of small files. There should be no such problem with the new backup format, though. If you still want to stay on the legacy and investigate the issue further, I'd recommend opening a ticket with technical support so that they can review the logs.

Have you tried deleting backups from the Backup Storage tab

This error is caused by the difference between local system time and backup storage time. The acceptable difference is up to 15 minutes, if I'm not mistaken (it depends on the storage provider). You can check if the system time on your computer matches the actual time in your time zone at https://greenwichmeantime.com/.

I'd reach out to Wasabi tech support if the time is accurate and you still have the problem.

The team is constantly working to add more features to the new backup format. It's been out of beta since May 2022. I would recommend you try it out and let us know how it works for you.

No matter where you store your backups, you can run a restore to a cloud VM. In terms of speed, you need to test it as it very much depends on your bandwidth capacity.
