  • Remote Assistant White Labelling
    Hello Kevin,

We surely do, however, it is at the discussion stage now, we are gathering the critical mass of users interested in this feature. I have added your query to an already existing feature-request and you will be notified upon release or any other news.
  • custom password not working
Hello and you can enter the Custom Password instead of PIN and everything will go normally, as we mentioned in our blog post this is an alternative to dynamic PIN. However, we are grateful to you for bringing it up, we will improve the UI in this case, the corresponding feature-request is already created. Thank you.
  • Screen Sharing is paused by Remote Computer
Hello, glad to hear that we at least have a minimal understanding of the possible issue. From our side, I can promise you that we will try to research other possible ways to handle UAC requests, this is really tricky stuff and we will definitely need some time. Let us know if you see something interesting, thank you.
  • Installer hangs when reinstalling (2.2.0.47)
    Hello Steve,

Thank you for such a detailed report and steps to reproduce, the corresponding report for our QA Team is already created and is already being tested.
  • connection issue
    Hello Richard,

I agree, but for example, updating virus databases may lead to locks or heuristic reaction. Has the situation changed?
  • CloudBerry Remote Assistant won't start
    Hello,

This is really looking like some kind of local issue, I would suggest trying to launch the software and checking the Windows Event Logs straight-away, also trying to switch off any Security Software off temporarily just to check if they are involved in this behavior. Let us know how it goes, thank you.
  • Remote Assistant deletes Windows Firewall Rules
I'm managing my firewall manually, inbound and outbound connections are not allowed until I create the specific rules. I'm using Windows Firewall Control from Binisoft to manage my firewall rules.
It seems that on every reboot Remote Assistant searches for rules containing "remote assistant.exe", deletes them (inbound AND outbound), and creates a new rule to allow an inbound connection.
While this is acceptable for an average joe, it kinda blocks itself in this more restricted environment (homelab) by not creating a rule to allow outbound connections.
    Ralf B

    Hello Ralf,

This is a predicted behavior and nothing really scary here. Those ports are being opened for Direct Connect functionality of the software, to disable it you can simply switch off this functionality in the Options - Incoming Connection - Direct Connection LAN and Internet. I agree that we haven't documented it yet, it is coming and will be released really soon, o hand just as a heads up mostly all of the bigger Remote Software complexes do this. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
  • Error message with remote assistant
    Hello James,

Have you recently updated the software? This issue is usually happening when the service of Remote Assistant becomes unresponsive, in this case, the only remedy is to restart the service on the remote machine. So far only few of our clients encountered this issue so we cannot reproduce it correctly. I would also suggest checking our the services restart behavior. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  • High CPU
Sure, just let us know how it goes.
  • connection issue
    Hello Richard,

It looks like that the software cannot connect to the machine in question, so firstly I would start from Firewall permissions or any other security software installed on the machine.
  • Install file running twice
    Hello,

Could you please provide a bit more details?
  • CloudBerry Remote Assistant 2.2 Released !
    Hello Fatih,

So far you can't, however, we already have a similar feature-request into which I have added this one and you will be informed upon the release. Thank you.
  • Bulk restore Office365

    Hello Jeremie,

If I understand the question correctly you can, basically initiating the backup job just creates a task, so you can create as many tasks as you like, however, restore of one data set to multiple accounts is not possible.
  • Bulk restore Office365
    Hello Jeremie,

You can select multiple items right in the portal, just click on them.
  • High CPU
Hello, we surely are reading this. Let 's try a simple solution first, please lower the picture quality in the session will this proc consumption stay the same? Thank you and I will be waiting for your reply.
  • Screen Sharing is paused by Remote Computer
Let me know how it goes, thank you.
  • Service key request failed: Unable to connect, Another Connection is established.
    Hello Kathy,

Awesome thank you for noting this and sharing on the forum, we will reproduce this scenario also.
  • Screen Sharing is paused by Remote Computer
    Hello,

It really looks like UAC intervene or some kind of session issue. Are you using the Unattended Access ?
  • Full Control is not a Full Control
    Hello Jose,

Sure, we will try to reproduce it again in our test lab. Thank you for pointing it out.
  • Two Control Panel Banners and Screen Resolution
    Hello John,

    Control Panel Banners
When a remote session is in progress there are two "Control Panel" banners visible. A black banner across the top of the screen and a second banner towards the bottom right of the screen. Both appear to have the same functions Menu, Chat, Mute speaker, Mute Mic etc.
Firstly having tow takes up screen real estate. Can the white banner be disabled?
Secondly you can auto-hide the top banner and also re-position the white banner but the settings do not "Stick" between sessions. When you restart a new session the banners are back as before with auto-hide disabled. Is there a way of setting these as a default?
    John Felstead

I have created a corresponding feature-request for the settings to be global for those banners. So far there is no way to set default position or state of them.

    Screen Resolution
The next issue is relates to screen resolution. The windows 10 host PC is connected to an HD monitor so tries to revert to recommended 1920 x 1080 resolution. However I have changed this to 1600 x 900 which matches the native resolution of the laptop used to connect remotely.
However in full screen mode on the laptop you still have to scroll to see the whole screen. This is resolved by selecting Scaled mode but then the desktop view does not fit the whole screen. Am I doing something wrong. I am trying in full screen mode to see the whole desktop of the remote PC without having to scroll.
    John Felstead

This is an interesting question indeed, we are currently working on changing the resolution calculation method and will test your case in our lab to see how it will act on our side. Thank you for pointing it out.
