  • Backing up from/to external USB HDDs
    Hey there, zefoto!

You can instruct macOS to automatically mount hard drives upon bootup by executing the following command in terminal:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/autodiskmount AutomountDisksWithoutUserLogin true

Let me know if it helped!
  • Optitune
Hey, Stratos, sorry for the experienced issues.

Let me please clarify how OptiTune integration works in MBS.

    1. You need to go into the Settings section of the MBS Web Console (screenshot 1) and generate API credentials. Use these credentials when entering API username and API password.

    2. You then need to enter credentials of an MBS user (not provider's or administrator's credentials). If you don't have any users yet, go ahead and create one in the MBS Web Console in the Users section (screenshot 2).

Hope that helps! Please confirm that everything is working properly.

  • Ignoring soft links on Mac
    Hey, Steve!

  • Ignoring soft links on Mac
    Hey, Steve!

The upcoming version of CloudBerry Backup for macOS & Linux will feature the complete support for symlinks management. In other words, you will be able to indicate whether you want symlinks to be backed up as symlinks or as the files they point to (there will be 4 options to choose from).

You can drop us a line at and we'll share a beta build with you if necessary!

    Regards,
    Robert
