Sadly, nope. When I create a new plan, the option to change the backup retention from within the plan wizard is still greyed out.

ONLY, when I select "Advanced Mode" does it give me the option to change the retention period from within the wizard

I would like to make the initial local backup to a scratch disk, but then push it to the cloud, a nas and a rotating drive.

This would be a great feature. I am trying to figure out how to incorporate air gapped backups in my environment and this would be nice to have. Except mine would be to a secondary server, cloud and a single disk on a removable media that I would swap weekly.

I just tried reverting my version back to 6.x.x and I still cannot modify the retention from within the backup plan.

Okay so it looks like that if I choose "Legacy" file backup, I cannot alter the retention level from within the backup plan.

I need to select the new backup format and from within there, I can choose to modify the backup plan.

How do I go about reverting back to a previous version that allows the old level backup style?

Negative. No change when right clicking on icon and selecting "Run as administrator"

I didn't mention above in my original post but the only item I can modify is the "Delete files that have been deleted locally" option.

In response to...."When you edit the backup plan, on the Retention Policy tab, you select "Specify custom retention policy for backup plan"

....it's greyed out and I can't even make changes.

When I then try it in the main "Options" window on the "Retention Policy" tab, and set "Delete versions older than" there for 8 days (from backup date). It does not stick. Seems to revert after 24 hours or so.

The interface automatically checks the parent folder when I select the single file. I have no way around it. I tried clicking with mouse, using the space bar, it always selects the parent folder along with it.

Thanks for testing. Yes, have been using the custom mode. No matter what selections I make, I always get the parent directory that houses the file I need. Is there a way to select just the file and not the parent folder? See image.

Thanks! Yes, I have been using simple mode. Sadly, I have not found a way to exclude the parent folders and simply deposit the file in the backup destination. Looks like it's not supported.

Correct, it's really just a SFTP file transfer to a linux box. But I didn't want to go into WinSCP\Putty etc when Cloudberry Backup supports the functions I need. Less apps to manage the better.

So yes, it's a file copy job that needs to happen every 15 minutes. The file sits on a Windows box, has the same name always, and needs to be copied to an assigned directory on a Linux box.

And I just need the file copied, no parent directories etc.

Clearly they don't know what they want to do with this product and quite frankly, I wish I could get my money back at this point and go with a product that is more clear.
