You can set up Azure Data Box Disk as a Local Filesystem (using SMB protocol) and backing up to it. Once data is in Azure Datacenter, you need to run Synchronize Repository on the agent (Tools -> Options -> Repository tab -> Pick the right destination -> Sync now). This should do the trick.

when we backup a partition we add only used space to the backup. And when you exclude sooner files/folders it makes that backup file even smaller.

over time it turned out that very few customers use them and we made our decision to deprecate them. Supporting those require us to test all features we roll out on those providers. It's very time consuming and can't be justified.
You can still user most of them using S3-compatible connector but on your own risk.

, my guess would be that you're using block level incremental backup.
Also it could be that your computer is low on disk space on the system partition and the system has no space for spring consequent snapshots.
please check the list of shadow copies for the system drive and delete unwanted or outdated ones.

in your backup plan, do you have the option "track local file deletes in backup storage"?
Once you run your backup and it adds metafiles to every object that doesn't exist, it won't restore them in the future if they didn't exist on the time of the restore point you're trying to restore.
