6.3.1 question about handling BitLocker encryption

I see the following note about version 6.3.1:

Bitlocker Volume Support for Item-level Restore
The new feature implies a possibility to restore separated objects from BitLocker-encrypted volumes.

I am getting ready to encrypt my system and data volumes on my new PC, but before I do so I want to be sure I understand the implications regarding CBB backups. My questions:

  1. If I keep BitLocker encryption on a system image backup can I now restore individual files with 6.3.1?
  2. Does this also mean I can do Synthetic Full system image backups. I want to be certain that I don’t have to have to store a new full image with each subsequent system image backup when I keep BitLocker encryption.
  3. For my Data volume I plan to not keep BitLocker encryption but instead use CBB encryption applied in transit. I understand that when I restore a file from that backup the restored file will be unencrypted.
