Assign a fixed ID to a computer

Can I assign a fixed ID to a computer? Everytime I restart the computer, it assigns a different ID

[reply=“hongfei zhang;d2319”] The Computer ID should not be changing every time you start the OS. Can you verify you are running the most current version of the software at both ends?If you are, then I’ll need you to open a support case using the Diagnostic menu option.

Yes, I am running the current version 2.5.0.83. I emailed support and was told it’s not possible to fix the ID. Am I missing anything?

[reply=“hongfei zhang;8281”] The ID should not change. Maybe you have a security configuration issue and the app cannot properly assign and save the ID. Can you provide any details about your environment, the operating system, the security privileges of the account you’re running under, etc?

I am running Windows 10 home as administrator with intel CPU, 64 bit.

Please let me know what other information are needed

[reply=“hongfei zhang;8287”] did you get a support case ID when you opened the support case? The best I can do is reach out to support on that case, as I don’t know how to correct your issue from here.

Only a ref:_00D2EnWEs._5003n2ULkwo:ref, but Maxim Kchiev replied and he says there is no such an option, meaning ID changes everytime after restart

Was there a solution to this that can be shared?

I’ve had unattended access setup and as of late the ID keeps changing (because of Windows Updates??? > that came from another thread).

Please elaborate on the solution if possible.
