I am using a Windows server to back up files that are stored in a NAS box.
I have “Force VSS” unchecked.
I have checked the “Do not backup files in use..” option.
When the backup runs, I get an error saying, “Files and folders were skipped … (Code: 1603)”
How can I stop it from trying to back up these files? After the failure, the scheduled backup stops, and I have to restart it every four hours.
[reply=“Phil Smith;d9797”] Is this really an error? AFAIK it’s an info message reporting how many files were skipped based on your settings
I agree that this is more of a warning, but it stops the backup from running on the next scheduled time. Meaning I have to log in every 4 hours to restart the backup.
[reply=“Phil Smith;11179”] It shouldn’t. Even errors and failed backups do not cancel the schedule. Can you post screenshots of the schedule step and the actual schedule settings for this plan?
