Can ransomware protection be added to an existing backup?

I have about 500GB backed up using Cloudberry Backup and Backblaze B2.

Can ransomware protection be added to an existing backup?

You can easily enable ransomware protection in your existing backup plan so during new uploads your data will be checked for ransomware. But it won’t be possible to check the data that has been already backed up. Thanks for the information. I would imagine there are many in my position. Do you think a feature may be added, at some point in the future, to deal with existing data?
