CBB Closes on Ubuntu 18.04

Hi,

Recently installed CBB on Linux, using the CLI to setup backups. My backup plan is set to run every 120 minutes.

When I view my backup storage it seems that the backup only runs 6 times before the service stops running. I have looked at the local daemon log and can see this:

2018-08-03 13:19:03,303310 [ERROR]: WOOPS! Me crashed!11 2018-08-03 13:19:03,304270 [FATAL]: CRASH HANDLED; Application has crashed due to [SIGSEGV] signal

I am currently using the free version to get a feel for the software before I commit - it gives me more time to iron out any issues than the seven day trial, I use it on two Windows machines with no problems but am struggling with it on Linux at the moment.

I am running version

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Fred

Hi Fred.
Please send us diagnostic logs using the [./cbb sendLog] command, it will automatically create a support ticket and our techs will provide you further assistance.
Please refer to this forum thread in description

Hi guys,
I’m having the same issue with Ubuntu 18.04.
Suspect it’s related to the SSL library…? I know my RMM tool (Pulseway) has problems with the libssl_1.1 package.
Have attempted to send logs (./cbb sendLog)

Thanks,

Hi [reply=“AgileTS;1377”]. May I ask you to try (./cbb saveLog -p ~)? It should create the logs archive in the current user home directory.
If that doesn’t work either, please send the “/opt/local/Online Backup/logs” contents archived to [email protected] (and note this forum thread kindly).

Also, here’s some more info we will need:
grep cbb /var/log/syslog* > ~/cbb-grep-syslog.txt
grep cbb /var/log/messages* > ~/cbb-grep-messages.txt
grep cbb /var/log/kern.log* > ~/cbb-grep-kern.log.txt

Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to share that I am also having this issue. I do not have access to my system at the moment, but if needed can pull logs tonight to help provide my diag data.

[reply=“Ian Anderson;1405”] thanks! Please send those to [email protected] and refer to this forum.

[reply=“Andrew22;1774”] I can’t find your ticket, could you please share its number?
