CloudBerry Backup Issue After Upgrade from Version 7 to 8 – Unable to View Files in AWS S3.

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue after updating CloudBerry Backup (MSP360) and would like to know if anyone has encountered something similar.

After clicking the update button, which upgraded the program from version 7 to version 8, I lost the ability to view the folders and files that were previously available for restore. Even after correctly entering the AWS Access Key and Secret Key, the connection seems to be only partially successful: the system indicates that data is stored in the cloud (Amazon S3), but it does not properly list or display the files and directories.

In other words, there are signs of communication with AWS, but without functional access to the backup contents.

Has anyone experienced this kind of inconsistency after an update? Is there any procedure to reindex or restore the visibility of the data?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

This behavior is often related to legacy backup formats that were deprecated starting from version 7.7.1

After upgrading to version 8, such backups may still be detected in storage, but the application may not properly display their structure (files/folders) in the restore interface

You can check more details here:

If your backups are not using the legacy format, then the issue likely requires deeper investigation:

In that case, please send us logs via the “Report an issue” option in the application (Tools - Report an issue). This will allow us to analyze the problem in detail and provide you the best solution
