Hello, I’m evaluating Cloudberry Backup for MacOS. The backup program looks good so far, but how do I ignore softlinks in backed up directories? Thanks. Steve.
Hi Steve
this is currently in works and coming in the release scheduled for the mid of April. We will post back here once it is out. Thank you for bringing it up.
Thanks
Andy
Hey, Steve!
The upcoming version of CloudBerry Backup for macOS & Linux will feature the complete support for symlinks management. In other words, you will be able to indicate whether you want symlinks to be backed up as symlinks or as the files they point to (there will be 4 options to choose from).
You can drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll share a beta build with you if necessary!
Regards,
Robert

We are releasing the new version in hours from now.
Hey, Steve!
Robert again here. The new version is live, you can check out the article that goes at length on the symlinks management: https://help.msp360.com/cloudberry-backup-mac-linux/settings/backup-settings
I would like to read the article on symlinks management. When I clicked on the link, I got Access to www.msp360.com was denied, 403. Why is this? I am using a brand new account; might be I have to wait a day?
