Hello using MSP360 backup version 7.9.6.151, when we edit the notification email for a specific backup plan, the same email address is replicated across all other backup plans, we would like to have separate email address for each backup plan, what are we missing ?
[reply=“Michael Shes;d9806”] are you using standalone or managed backup?
the standalone(single install on-prem)
[reply=“Michael Shes;11184”] in the standalone version you can specify only one email address per installation for email notifications. In managed backup you can have multiple or specific email address per plan
so the purpose is to retire the standalone product in the future and push for the managed ?
seems like a basic feature
[reply=“Michael Shes;11186”] no plans to retire standalone. Can you tell more about your scenario. why you need different email addresses per plan?
we use checkcentral.cc to check our systems that email are sent/arrived, we send one email to IT department and another one to checkcentral.
for backup, we also expect each job / backup plan to run each day, sometimes some one may stop / disable a job for a maintenance reason and may forget to turn it back on , so human error may miss the regular email in his mailbox arriving, when using checkcenteral we can programmatically alert if email is not arriving (to fix human error).
so for each backup plan we have a unique email address in checkcentral that will test if email is arrived in completed status withing 24 hours, if not an alert in fire in email/teams
[reply=“Michael Shes;11188”] What are the plans? VM backup or just regular file based/image based plans? I will file a feature request for this.
They are regular file backup plan, local to local or local to cloud.
Thank you very much.
