After the 3.x release I was able to use my old 2.5.0.83 to connect without needing to be on the other end to allow, but now it seems when trying to use that version it says “Can’t connect: your application version is out of date”
I have seen mention of a version 2.6.0.23, but I never moved to that as 2.5 had been working fine for years.
