I just had a general question about ransomware attacks. This might be a stupid question but is just backing up to the cloud enough or are these things getting so sophisticated they’re able to get into your backups in the cloud? I guess the attackers would need to have specific knowledge of CloudBerry itself and how the credentials are stored so probably highly unlikely but curious anyway.
[reply=“M1Systems;d9295”] Generally speaking if your data got encrypted with ransomware before you notice it can be uploaded to the cloud and overwrite your “healthy” backups. The best way to protect from ransomware is to have a copy (several copies) of your data in the cloud with enabled object lock (immutability).
