Why? I'm getting errors when backing up Linux Mint from a external SSD enclosure

I have a SSD inside of a USB 3.0 external enclosure running Linux Mint. I use it as a personal drive I can bring over to a friends house, and run, for example. I’ve tried to backup the / root directory, the EFI partition, and my /home directory. Three directories total. But I’m getting 63 errors when it’s done backing up, backup up all files, including hidden files. It’s being backed up locally to a NTFS partition.

I want to back up the whole drive, just in case I want to format the drive to use with something else. I’m sorry if this isn’t enough information, I’m a Linux n00b, but I’m willing to provide you with the info you need. Thanks!! I’m using the free personal use home license BTW.

I’ll have to check the error log again. Gimme like 5 minutes, gotta boot into the drive real quick.

Couldn’t figure out how to get the full log file. Do these pictures suffice??

[reply=“Kgonepostl;6223”] Impossible to tell exactly what the issue was in those files. Could be they were simply in use at the time. You’d have to review the backup plan history in more detail to see what each issue was.

So what can I do? How do I give you full logs, for example??

[reply=“Kgonepostl;6229”] You can view the plan history right in the UI under History. If you need to open a support case click on Feedback and the logs will be transmitted.
