Accessing when remote computer is asleep
Hi, can anyone advise on how I access a machine when it's in sleep mode, the reason for me using remote is so I can work in the evenings and access my work machine but if it goes asleep I cannot access.
I have selected unnattended access but it still has to be awake for me to access.
Thanks in advance.
We have a requirement in the system to add Wake-on-LAN functionality so you can wake a remote system. I have added your request in the system. No release date as of yet. In the interim, you'll need to keep your remote machine from sleeping. Or... There are ways to remotely wake a computer from sleep, but they are often involved. You can Google
how to wake a remote windows pc that is sleeping
and see what you find.
Ah great thanks David, I will have a little google and or keep the machine awake, appreciate you popping it on as a request.
