I installed Cloudberry Backup for a client recently (running Windows Server 2012), and am increasingly confused and concerned about conflicting information I read in Cloudbery's documentation. For example:

    https://www.msp360.com/backup/windows/server.aspx

    https://www.msp360.com/resources/blog/bare-metal-recovery/

In the first link (which I used to explain and sell this software to my client), it promises "image-based backup" which "restores to dissimilar hardware." In my mind that means that a replacement server computer (in this case a simple tower) could be a newer model, as it is unrealistic to purchase an identical tower server replacing a model 8+ years old. However the second link which I just discovered tells me point blank "bare metal restore cannot restore data to dissimilar hardware." How big a surprise am I in for in the case of a disaster?

That second blog post was confusingly written (and a bit old). I've asked the author to address some if the incorrect text. We fully support BMR to dissimilar hardware.
