Source partition was not found warning message
Recently the Online Backup Ultimate agent on one of our servers is displaying a warning message on the History tab: "Source partition was not found". The daily backup results are successful though. What does this message mean, and what are the implications for doing successful restores? The plan is weekly full image based backup with daily block level incrementals. The server OS was recently updated from Server 2012R2 to Server 2019. Thank you.
possibly during the server upgrade the ID on the volume changed. I would go through the backup wizard again and make sure the proper partitions are selected and then run the plan according to schedule to see if the message clears. It's possible one of your partitions is not getting backed up
Thanks David, this seems to be the solution. Indeed, one of the volumes was not being backed up. Running through the wizard to select all the volumes, then executing the plan cleared the warning.
thanks for the update.
