could someone please explain the differences between SharePoint / Teams / Shared Drives and G Suite subscription , what each of them gives me and do i need storage for both of them ?

From a licensing perspective, Google G Suite / Workspace is licensed per User. Licenses include support for backing up email, calendar, contacts, and individual Drive files.

If your customer is using Google Shared Drives (https://support.google.com/a/answer/7212025), then you need an additional license for the Shared Drive. You can use shared drives in Google Drive to store, search, and access files with a team. Shared drive files belong to the team instead of an individual.

We integrate with public cloud storage vendors. You can use Amazon S3, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. We do support local backups, but this support does not extend to O365 and G Suite. Those hosted platforms must be backed up to the cloud. You would need your own cloud account or your customer can use their own if they have one and provide the needed credentials to you to properly integrate into the management console. One thing I wanted to add: We do resell both AWS S3 (Standard) and Wasabi storage. So, if you'd prefer not to have to open your own account with either of those vendors, you can simply click on the MSP360 S3 or MSP360 Wasabi storage options when setting up storage. Pricing is the same as what you'd pay for storage directly from the vendor, with the added benefit of getting a single bill from MSP360.
