So, I'm going a little overboard with my home network setup. I just bought a Dell Poweredge R620 rack server. I have setup VMWare ESXi 6.5 on it. I have setup a few VMs. I want to back everything up. I'd like to back it up at a VMWare baremetal backup. I'd also like to run backups of the files within the VMs so I can restore individual files within the vm, rather than having to roll back the whole vm to a previous state. (I guess VMWare is taking snapshots... I have the drives setup in RAID 5 so I shouldn't have a hard drive failure.... but I don't like taking chances.) How can I do this with licensing without spending a fortune on licenses? I am not a corporation. I am just a guy playing around with equiment in my home.

Also, I just installed the home version on one of my Windows VMs in trial mode. It will only backup to cloud buckets. I'd like to backup to my local NAS.

A few questions to better understand your requirements:
    - Are you looking to backup VMs on a host level with item-level restore capability?
    - Do you use our standalone or managed backup solution?
