I recently needed to edit an old backup plan that uses Amazon Glacier and I got the message that Amazon Glacier isn't supported anymore. What I don't understand is that (1) the backup plan is still being executed successfully as far as I can tell and (2) if I create a new backup plan, although my Glacier account is no longer shown, I can still add a new S3/Glacier storage account. The message I got seems to be contradicting these 2 points. Please help me understand what's going on. Thank you.
Please specify when you see the message and attach a screenshot. What version of the agent are you running? Also, was the plan created in a Legacy or New Backup Format? What Amazon Glacier tier are you using?
1. I see the message when I click "Edit" at the bottom of an existing plan. This brings up the "Welcome to Edit Backup Plan Wizard". I then click "Next" and this is when the message pops up. See picture.
2. Agent Version: I don't know how to answer this question
3. The plan was created 5 years ago using the Wizard. That's all I know.
4. Amazon Glacier tier: It was called S3 Glacier but I think now it's called S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval
