  • Unexpected purge/re-backup behaviour
, do you use 2.5.0.32 ? Because there was a memory leak bug in that version, so we published v2.5.0.39 that has it fixed.
If you get this with a 2.5.0.39 - this requires additional investigation. Please send the diagnostics (./cbb sendLog), it will open a Support ticket right away.

You might also want to restart the service to lower the memory consumption (at least at first). The command is either
    - sudo systemctl restart cloudberry-backup
    or
    - sudo service cloudberry-backup restart
    depending on your distro.

, thanks for the screenshot. If you want to share more screenshots with me personally - drop them at [email was edited]

What exactly does the RDM require for the integration?
For example, would it suffice if it would attempt to start a connection to a specific host and use Unattended Access?
CB RA uses a 9 digit PIN, how does one specify to which host to connect in RDM?
  • CLI support
Hi , please specify the use case - what exactly are you trying to achieve in the end. I mean in terms of business logic. Is it any kind of integration or do you want to start a session to a machine when nobody is able to setup connection?

Noted. I filed this to R&D
  • Stop Remote Session from Logging Out When Session Ends
not really, it's release notes being late. But yeah, things are going very fast!
  • Stop Remote Session from Logging Out When Session Ends
Hello , funny you should say that - here's what it looks like in the latest version that we released yesterday, it's on disconnecting from the remote machine for the first time (if Unattended Access is used, of course) - see the attached screenshot. Does this suffice?

Hello . As far as I can see, your ticket is under investigation now. The responsible support engineer will provide further troubleshooting steps, and I'll see to it the further steps are correct and precise.

Now I feel I must explain something. Indeed, due to our focus on the cloud storage the local network backup is yet to be improved.
Technically, CloudBerry Backup for Linux knows nothing of local network storage, which is what causes troubles at times; it runs backup to the local directory where the share is mounted to.

Of course, we do have plans to implement proper support for SMB/CIFS shares along with SFTP shares; we also think of NFS shares but that's in a longer time perspective.
I'd guess it will be late October, but don't take it for granted yet.

Also, is this a Windows share or a Linux one (ex. a NAS device)? If the latter, you might want to try mounting it over SSHFS (here is a nice howto), that works fine for me with a Linux share for like 8 months now.

Hi . May I ask you to try (./cbb saveLog -p ~)? It should create the logs archive in the current user home directory.
If that doesn't work either, please send the "/opt/local/Online Backup/logs" contents archived to (and note this forum thread kindly).

Also, here's some more info we will need:
    grep cbb /var/log/syslog* > ~/cbb-grep-syslog.txt
    grep cbb /var/log/messages* > ~/cbb-grep-messages.txt
    grep cbb /var/log/kern.log* > ~/cbb-grep-kern.log.txt

    Thanks in advance.
  • Cloudberry backup: impossible to select files
So, to conclude this: the reason is that CloudBerry Backup for Linux does not support ZFS for source (and most likely, for destination too).
Ext 2/3/4 are supported and so is BtrFS, that's what we recommend using.
