  • "This App is Blocked" when connecting CloudBerry Explorer to Google Drive
Please open a support case from Tools - Diagnostic. Add the following description to the submission in the dialog: "Logs for Anton T". The support team will review and offer an alternative method for connecting to Google Drive.
  • App Blocked when adding storage
Support has requested you open a support case (if you're using a paid edition); https://www.msp360.com/support.aspx?select=true

If not, I will try to see if they can provide me some direction for you and I'll respond here.
  • Office 365 Backup - Can It Be Used With 3rd Party Hosted Exchange
Sorry for the slow reply. Support would need you to reach out to them as have more questions for you about your environment. You can reach out using this link: https://www.msp360.com/support.aspx?select=true
  • Only can add Backblaze but not other cloud storage or my own
I am still waiting on a reply regarding why you are only seeing Backblaze B2/ Regarding the Dedup Server option: That target was deprecated some time ago and should have been removed from customer accounts.
  • Image Backups of Virtual Servers
I am checking with the team on actual instructions and will forward when I hear back. Thinking about this, there are few options:
1- Change the single virtual disk VM and create a second virtual disk for the data. Then you can back up the VM virtual disk with the OS using the VM backup and use the in-OS agent to back up the files using file / folder backup.
2- Use Amazon S3 or Wasabi for the target so you can take advantage of synthetic fulls on subsequent full backup operations.
3- Reduce the frequency of full backups
4- Or use image backups as you suggested - and you use a single agent with an Image backup for the C OS volume (data folder excluded) and a second File backup plan for the actual Data on the drive.

One license per computer is needed. There are quantity discounts, so go to the purchase screen, enter your quantity, and you'll see the discounted price.
  • Speed of Restore for Very Small Files
I would recommend you try increasing the number of threads used (Options - Advanced - Thread Count). I know the dialog says it's for backup, but my understanding is it applies to File Restores as well. There is a lot of file IO latency when running APIs over the internet to grab each object in cloud storage and start the restore - as opposed to local disk access or even local network access where latency is low. Increasing the thread count will allow the backup process to run many object restores in parallel and reduce the latency impact.

Later this year, we will be introducing a new feature that will eliminate the IO latency issue for customers. For now, though, the best option is an increase in Threads.

Let us know how it works out.
  • File & Folder Restore Flaw with Deselected Folders
I am working with the team for clarification. I'll get back to you once I have an answer from them.
  • File & Folder Restore Flaw with Deselected Folders
Can you let us know what version you are running?
  • Where are my files with the new format?
I do not think you'll need a new bucket, but there is no harm in doing so and it would keep the backup data (old and new) separated. Either way, we will post collateral and videos once things are ready explaining everything for our customers. Thanks.
  • Where are my files with the new format?
We are hoping to have it ready in May.

You have two choices, depending on your needs. We offer Managed Backup, which allows you to manage any number of endpoints and servers from an easy-to-use, thin client management interface. We offer pricing for Managed Service Providers and for internal IT use. This is a subscription service with monthly or annual payment options. You can read more about Managed Backup here, schedule a demo, register for a trial, or generate a quote: https://www.msp360.com/managed-backup.aspx

The other option is to purchase our stand-alone, unmanaged products like CloudBerry Backup. These products need to be managed at the agent level. If the users are not in the same location as you, you may need to visit or use remote desktop software to manage the installs when needed. These licenses are perpetual (pay once and then optionally pay for maintenance and for upgrades and support). The Edition you purchase will depend on your needs for backup. A chart of the feature differences is located on this page: https://www.msp360.com/backup/windows/desktop.aspx pricing starts at $49 for Desktop Pro
  • Issue in Backup Plan creation from RMM (SQL Server)
Can you verify if you can create the plan using the local agent? What type of service account do you run the agent?
  • 5TB limit in 2021
Who were you using? We deprecated some services last year as we did not have many customers using them. However, I may be able to suggest an alternative depending on your specific needs.
  • 5TB limit in 2021
Can I ask how much data you need to store in the cloud? Or, is the limitation in the product more of a moral objection.
  • Connection Error
So from your friend's house you could connect to another computer within that network and you could connect over the internet to your computer at home. But the problem you're having is connecting to your friends computer from outside her home, right? If so you'll have to check the ports to make sure that those ports are open for incoming connections at her end.
  • Connection Error
That's fine. I can move the post.

If you're connecting over the internet, you'll need to make sure Ports 80 and 443 are open at the friends house. 80 for unencrypted and 443 for encrypted connections.

when you say when you got home to set it up, what do you mean exactly? Were you using a different computer than the one you used when you're at the friends?

Please avoid posting any personal information like your email address in public forums. I wouldn't want you to get spammed from somebody who is scraping the website.

What product are you using? You posted in the Managed Backup section. Are you connecting using Managed Remote Desktop or are you using the free Remote Desktop?
