We have a requirement in the system to add Wake-on-LAN functionality so you can wake a remote system. I have added your request in the system. No release date as of yet. In the interim, you'll need to keep your remote machine from sleeping. Or... There are ways to remotely wake a computer from sleep, but they are often involved. You can Google how to wake a remote windows pc that is sleeping and see what you find.

You said you were on Linux - CentOS, right? If you are running with a GUI, then we install a full client on your Linux installation, locally. If I am misunderstanding your configuration, please clarify.

Separate from the need to change from real-time to a scheduled backup plan, deleting your backups immediately is risky and not recommended. The first issue you may run into is accidental deletion. if a file is accidentally deleted and your backup runs, it will detect the deletion and if your retention settings force an immediate deletion of the backup file, then your data cannot be restored. The other example would be something like a ransomware attack. Files are often renamed by the malware with the originals deleted, and again, if your backup runs then all the ransomware encrypted files are saved in backup storage but your original files are deleted.

It's best to delay the deletion for some period; whether that's a couple days or more. It's also a good idea to keep multiple versions (at least two) of each file. That will protect you against a file change (on purpose, accidental, or malicious) and then finding your only backup copy is the newly change, but bad one.

Send an email to Support as instructed in the message with all the relevant information (email / activation code). Maybe it's a firewall issue.

As an alternative, you could try first copying the data to local disk using Explorer and then copying to the Snowball appliance using the Snowball client.

I think you're going to find the short answer is to not use Real-Time Backup. It's not available in our enterprise product because it has some limitations. You are probably better off simply changing the plan to a fixed schedule to run as frequently as needed. Can I ask about your particular use case and the need to remove files immediately?

Yes, there's a regular fat client for Linux that is installed (assuming you are running a GUI on Linux).

Very odd. I am guessing you are using Firefox, which I just tried instead of Chrome, and see the issue. Can you use Chrome or Edge? Both of those browsers seem to work when I tested.

When you download, the activation code is on the download page. I would go through that process again and you should be fine. You don't need to actually download or reinstall.

I see this particular issue noted in the system with a Drive version 3.1 fix in the works. I am waiting on word to see if there is a work-around and when the 3.1 release is scheduled. Please stand by...

I actually agree with you and most home users would benefit from using hybrid plans. It's just that most home users don't have Linux machines. But many do have Macs.

For now, the Hybrid backup plan option is only available in the Windows version. We already have a request in the system to add this to the Linux and Mac platforms. I don't have a date yet, but I've added your request and someone will reach out when the work is scheduled.

In the meantime, you'll have to use two plans.

There's no switching either way. They are separate products. Uninstall your Managed Remote Desktop and continue using the free version.

I am unaware of any issues that would cause what you are describing. Have you tried uninstalling the agent? Is the mouse working but not visible - meaning you can click and drag but simply cannot see it on screen? Or, are you saying the mouse is completely disabled?
