  • Large file resorted in parts
What do you see when you restore from CloudBerry Backup and select the file? Do you see all 5 parts as individual files or do you see a single file as it was on the original hard drive? If you see 5 files, then is it possible you split the file yourself before it was originally backed up? If it is simply split, you can probably recombine from a command-line using the Windows command-line COPY command COPY /B file.part1 + file.part2 FinalFileName

You cannot use Explorer to restore most Backup files. You need to restore using CloudBerry Backup. Create a restore plan and select that file for restore and the location for the restore and you should be good to go.
  • Inability change\retain retention plan
Sounds like a security rights issue and an inability to edit the configuration file. That's unusual. As a test, can you right-click the CloudBerry Backup icon, select Run as Administrator and see if the options are enabled that way? If so, we will know it's a security issue and will take it from there.

You could also try reinstalling. I'll also reach out to Support and see if they have any ideas.
  • Inability change\retain retention plan
Just to be clear, you are using the latest version and are using the legacy, version-based backup format (that's fine if you are as we plan to support it for a long time). When you edit the backup plan, on the Retention Policy tab, you select "Specify custom retention policy for backup plan" and then change the "Delete versios older than" to 8 days from modification date (or backup date). Correct?

Then, you continue through the wizard and save the changes, but the next time you edit the plan, you see what exactly? Has the plan now reverted to "Use the default retention policy" option, or are you seeing a different value in the "Delete versions older than" option?

That should not happen. You'd have to describe how you are restoring and any details on your backup plan.
  • Does Cloudberry work with AWS Snowcone device?
Unfortunately, AWS Snowcone is not supported at this time. There is already a requirement in the system to add support, but there's no ETA at this time.
  • Why Do I Have 4 Different Versions of an Outlook .PST in Amazon S3?
You need to do this on the client not directly in storage. The client uses the catalog to show information and does not directly pull from storage. While you can see some information from the management console, it does not show size or backup type. Remote is fine.
  • Why Do I Have 4 Different Versions of an Outlook .PST in Amazon S3?
If you click on the file in question on the Backup Storage tab, you'll see a list of versions in storage for that file in the bottom tab. What I need to know is how many versions you are seeing? Is it 2 or 4? Or something else? If you only see 2, then it stands that the other file versions are in the other folder. On the folder which is no longer current with the live data, you can right-click those versions and delete them from backup storage to resolve the issue. If you see 4 versions, then I need to know if they are Full or Block-Level / Incremental.

or you can provide me the information I requested above and maybe we can figure out why you're using that much storage. You should not be using that amount if you're only backing up 500 GB and you're using the right options.
  • One Server, Two backup plans with two different storage locations
I cannot use your server, sorry. I am not in Support. If you have maintenance and want to speak to the Support team, please reach out using the links on the web site.

Has this FTP server ever worked with the product? If so, was it used for other backup plans? Maybe create a new FTP backup storage account. I assume if this is remote, you are using SFTP, correct? Your other option might be to move to something like Minio on the remote server. Minio is Open Source software for Windows and Linux that can expose your remote storage as S3-Compatible storage. You can Google Minio for more information from their web site. We support Minio.
  • Hydrid Backups
It's a long and complicated question. You can buy a 10 TB upgrade. I forget the price, but if you ask the team they will let you know what it is.

Are you saying that you are only backing up 500 GB worth of data in total? If so, what are your retention settings for Versions and Duration of storage and your backup schedule for the Incremental and Block-Level (backup terms may be different based on your version)?
  • One Server, Two backup plans with two different storage locations
I did some tests here and do not have any issues backing up the same file to the cloud and to local storage. I cannot test using FTP since I do not have an FTP server.

Since FTP is no longer supported, can you use a network share for the local backup instead?
  • Hydrid Backups
The storage limit check is performed before the backup is run. That's why it is short-circuiting the backup. If you are using a version of the product with a 5TB storage limitation, you have a few choices:
    1. Reach out to sales and see if they can raise your storage limit to 10TB. If I recall, that can be done for a fee
    2. Separate the Local and Cloud backups so if you hit the 5TB limit, you can continue to run local backups
    3. Check your retention settings and make sure you are not keeping data for longer than needed and are not keeping more versions of files than needed.
    4. If you are running Block-Level backups, make sure your full backup schedule works with your retention settings. For example, if you keep 7 versions and have a 7 Day full backup cycle, you may end up keeping 14 versions until the oldest 7 day set can be deleted.
    5. Make sure you are not backing up any folders you do not need to protect. Like internet cache and temp folders.
    6. Look on your hard drive for the largest files you are backing up and consider manually deleting some of the backup versions from the cloud using the Storage tab in the product. That may free up the needed space so you can run a backup, and combined with other changes above may help avoid hitting the storage limit again in the future.
  • One Server, Two backup plans with two different storage locations
Can you test on a file that is not a part of the Azure cloud backup plan? Create a test file on your desktop and try to back that up to the FTP server. I want to rule out an issue with the same files on two plans going to two different storage destinations.
  • One Server, Two backup plans with two different storage locations
Also, try running a consistency check on the FTP storage from the Consistency Check tab in Storage account options.
  • One Server, Two backup plans with two different storage locations
Was that test on a test file that is not a part of the Azure cloud backup plan?
  • One Server, Two backup plans with two different storage locations
The error seems to indicate the product cannot access your FTP Server. Are you sure your credentials are correct? Why don't you try a backup of a single, unique file you can create and make sure the backup works. Can you also verify which version you are using? While FTP is still available and we'll try and sort out your issues on the forum, FTP has been deprecated as a storage target and is no longer officially supported.

Can you try reinstalling? Try searching your system for that file and see if you can locate it in another folder. If you want a refund you'd have to reach out to the sales team. Go to the MSP360.com website, and click on the contact link.
  • Removing Data from Wasabi Backup
You’d have to delete from the agent’s Storage tab to remove backup data no longer needed. Right-click the folder and select the option to delete.

if you don't have that settings file somewhere in your system, then you have a completely different issue. I'm going to assume it's there somewhere. See if these directions help locating it and making the necessary changes.
