if you don't have that settings file somewhere in your system, then you have a completely different issue. I'm going to assume it's there somewhere. See if these directions help locating it and making the necessary changes.
Can you try reinstalling? Try searching your system for that file and see if you can locate it in another folder. If you want a refund you'd have to reach out to the sales team. Go to the MSP360.com website, and click on the contact link.
