  • Backup plan is crashing a server
Storage destination is S3 and it will typically say the backup terminated abnormally after about 1 second. Where can I find some logs to share?
  • Backup plan is crashing a server
    Version: 7.9.0.404
    OS: Windows Server 2022 (21H2)

The backup type is file level using the new Forever Forward Incremental. This has been going on for awhile, it used to happen less frequently but seems to be happening more than usual.
  • Ransomware
Ahh right of course, didn't think of that. I'm glad I asked this question.
  • Server restore
Looks like the file recovery software has found a lot of files but isn't able to recover the paths or file names. However the most critical data I'm trying to recover is part of a system I'm developing that has the metadata like file sizes and hashes so if the files I'm after are in this mess I'll be able to resolve this.
  • Server restore
I was finally able to restore it to a new physical disk and got it back up and running.

Unfortunately when I was rerunning the restore plan a second time because of some issues in haste I accidently selected the wrong disk and wiped a large drive where most of my data was stored and wasn't fully backed up. So now I'm having to run a file restore app to see what I can salvage. Would be nice if there was a warning that said something like hey this isn't a blank drive might want to check you're selecting.
  • Local to Cloud backups simple mode
It says legacy in the screen shot you shared and I also see it in my installed version. What I'm asking is if the feature is likely to disappear in future versions since it's labeled legacy?
  • Local to Cloud backups simple mode
Legacy tells me the feature is on the way out and isn't likely to be in future versions. Is this going to be the case?
  • Image based backup
Yeah that's what I'm talking about, the ability to just mirror the files. I don't want to have to rely on proprietary software to retrieve my files in the event of a disaster. Although I would definitely consider that a backup, has saved my bacon before.
  • Image based backup
Does the newer Desktop Pro version have the ability to have backup plans that allow you to do the legacy file backups so I don't have to use the new CloudBerry proprietary file format? I want to have the ability to not have to rely on CloudBerry to restore files and to run my own consistency checks for peace of mind.
  • Proprietary files
when I run through the wizard I'm not presented with the option to select a backup mode.
