• Is MFA available with the setup of a Storage Account: Amazon S3?
There's no specific, CloudBerry authentication in CloudBerry Drive. All of the authentication happens on the AWS management console side when setting up your storage account and grabbing security credentials. If you want MFA with AWS, you can certainly turn it on. Please refer to this article: https://aws.amazon.com/iam/features/mfa/
  • Filename-to-Object status in May 2022 (naming issues)
It’s correct the new back up format has no file name limitations. It includes many new enhancements around performance backup verification to duplication, etc. But before you move to the new format, I would suggest you read about it to see if it’s a good fit for you and ask any questions here.
  • Backup Error Message
I would encourage you to open a support cases soon as possible to have a support technician walk you through the process to resolve this. I would not want any issues in the local repository to affect your ability to complete future backups or perform a restore. They can walk you through the process on how to address the issue and also examine the logs to see what may have triggered the problem in the first place. Sorry we can't be more help on the forums, but I think this issue requires a closer look by the support team.
  • Backup Error Message
It's a somewhat generic error message. We would need to know the version of the software you're running, what type of backup you're running, and whether or not you happen to have the local repository database on a compressed NTFS folder.
  • RIP Free unattended access
I'll check for you on the firewall question.
  • Duration of Backups
It's clearly a bug. And has already been reported to the team. When I know more, I'll report back here.
  • RIP Free unattended access
You can disable auto update from Options. Only if you have the setting enabled would the software upgrade automatically.
  • Remote Desktop update
If you have the General Setting option to Update Automatically checked, then the software would have updated to the 3.0 release. As you can see in the pinned post, the product has been renamed to MSP360 Connect. If you don’t use Microsoft RDP, then I recommend you stop the RDP services and set them to manual to prevent them from running.
  • Migrate license to new computer
if you release the license from where it's currently installed from the menu you can then register it using that license key on the new computer.
  • RIP Free unattended access
It may depend on what type of dialog came up. If it was a UAC dialog, then that could override a new connection. Do you have any details on what type of dialog came up that was preventing a new connection?

And please report any issues in freeware on the forums here. We want to hear back from all our customers, both freeware and paid, about their use of the product and any issues they're having.
  • 14 computers are running an unsupported version of the backup agent, please update as soon as possib
From what I can tell, this incorrect notification was address some time back with the 4.8 management console release. I'd recommend you open a support case to report what you are seeing.
  • RIP Free unattended access
    Thanks for the feedback.
  • RIP Free unattended access
Are you saying that the Pro version is too expensive for the company / university you work with? What's a workable price point for your particular use case?
  • RIP Free unattended access
Just curious, and I realize I may be putting you on the spot here, but what would you pay with an annual subscription to get unattended access back in the product? I'm not suggesting we're going to have a fourth edition of that product. But I'd be curious to know what you think your price point is to have that feature based on your use. Feel free to DM me instead of posting it to the forums if you'd prefer your answer to be private. And feel free to describe your use case in as much detail as possible. I'm collecting all this information to make the product better. Thanks.
  • Execute Following Plan After Backup Completes - New Format
You need to set the GFS for each backup. But since there is a new chained option that tells the chain plan to follow the type of backup that is running on the main plan, It's going to be important that the GFS settings work for the schedule of the main plan. If you're not using GFS then don't worry about that part.
  • RIP Free unattended access
We're collecting comments from users. Most of the freeware users we spoke to were using attended access only, but we realize that some may have been using unattended access. I can't guarantee it's going to come back to the freeware version but it's possible. We want to hear from all our customers who are using it and whether or not this change is impacting them in some significant way. So I appreciate your comments and I'll add them to the official list of those who would prefer to see that feature come back. Thanks.
  • Backup issue in msp360 for computer name INVAL-SRV-ADC
All I see is some errors on backing up some old school XLS files that are in use. VSS option can help with that.
  • Execute Following Plan After Backup Completes - New Format
just what I said above in my post. That you need to make sure the GFS settings for the chained plan is compatible with the schedule for the main plan, because you're going to be relying on the main plan to determine what kind of backup is going to be run on the chained plan.
  • Recover backup plans from cloud storage on new device
From what I recall, you need to register your backup storage, synchronize the repository, and then you'll see your backups and plans in the UI.
