• External Backup Fail
The first thing to try is to change service account via tools > change service account menu. I suggest to use local admin account.
If the issue persists just send us the logs via tools > diagnostic menu and we'll look into the problem.
  • VM Backups
We don't have AD Edition of the software, so I'm nut sure what you're referring to.
VM also supports image-based backup, if that's what you're talking about.

Regarding the licensing: that's not contradicting to our licensing model in any way, since VM still can be considered as a separate machine.
  • Help menu item and F1 not working
That's a bug, unfortunately. Will be fixed in one of the future updates.
  • Is there a limit to the number of files cloudberry will back up?
It's better to send us diagnostic logs for investigation.
Go to tools > diagnostic and click "send to support". Mention this thread in the issue description, please.
  • Hybrid Backup Flawed?
There will be Hybrid Engine redesign in version 5.9.4, that update should bring consistency to hybrid backups. The build should be ready in December.
  • File backup failure with "unable to flush I/O writes"
The software actually uses automatic retry system as long as your system allows to perform such operations. I/O errors are tricky to avoid, since they happen outside of the software, so in some cases it's difficult to avoid situations like that.
  • Delete cloud files that have been deleted locally in Version 5.9
That'll be changed in version 5.9.4(we'll try to roll it out in December), according to our developers, but in general I would suggest to use SQL backup plans in such situations.
  • VM Backups
    You have 2 choices here:
    1) Install regular server edition on each VM separately and then restore those image-based backups to EC2
    2) Install VM edition of the software on your Hyper-V host, back up those machines from that server and restore to EC2 just like in point 1.
  • Cloudberry error with VMware VMs

Not sure why you're sending me your exported configuration.

I have provided the instructions in the post above:
"I suggest to send us the logs via tools > diagnostic menu to troubleshoot that."
Let me know if they are unclear.
Make sure you're providing the link to this forum thread in the issue description. We'll continue communication via the ticket system.
  • Remote File Purge
Well, currently you can only remove all of the data that was backed up using a machine via the portal.
If you want to remove that particular folder from the cloud and you don't have access to the machine itself but still have cloud credentials you can use Cloudberry Explorer to do that.
After that you would need to synchronize the repository on the machine via Remote Management tab in your web console. Just go to the tab, click on the "gear" icon, then "edit > options> and there will be a repository section to run the sync.
  • Cloudberry error with VMware VMs
Might be a problem with the trial version.
I suggest to send us the logs via tools > diagnostic menu to troubleshoot that.
  • Changing Hybrid USB drive
You can edit an existing account and just re-select your USB drive, that should help.
  • Copy all files inside folder but not the folder
    Hi!
When creating your backup plan you would need to use "custom" mode without specifying any custom folders, that will put all of the files into the root of the bucket, BUT you would need to select all of the files manually within the folder without actually selecting it for backup plan.

  • Azure lifecycle management and soft delete
Those are actually planned for the next update. Should be available in version 3.0.2.
  • Changing Hybrid USB drive
Currently the best way would be to re-create the plan, since the disk ID is written in the original configuration of the plan. You can actually first copy the contents of the original usb to the new one, make sure that the drive letter is the same for the new local storage account, synchronize the repository for both local and cloud destinations(tools > options > repository) and after that run your newly created plan.
  • Wake Computer For Backup
That's unusual. Maybe you're referring to hibernation, when PC save all the info to your hard drive and then "turns off". In that case the software won't be able to run.
  • Web Console Rebranding
Enabled this option for you, should be visible now.
  • Daily online bakcup report
Most likely you enabled "Include only failed statuses" option, so the list is empty.
  • Wake Computer For Backup
The backups software actually runs as as service, and by default the option to prevent the machine from sleeping is turned on, so you don't really have anything to worry about in that regard.
