I think it's keeping the last version for you so you have at least 1 backup copy to restore. My guess is if you edit one of those files and run another backup, the version older than 15 days will be deleted. But I'll check with the team to see if that's what's happening underneath.

What are you hoping to retain? Do you want all backups older than 15 days deleted even if there is only one backup version saved?

No, you don’t as the initial full is not a single set, but instead each file backed up in its entirety and each file can be removed for retention needs independently of any other. Incremental and block level are not the same as I’ve described previously in this post.

You don’t need to stack, as stated. Why don’t you post a screenshot of your retention settings and also describe what you want to keep and we’ll see if we can set things up right.

Yes settings are carried over, but since this is a production server I’d rather you worked with support before installing the new version on that server.

The only files that were or are backed up after the initial full are the ones that changed. We now call this an incremental backup (don’t get me started on the terminology change because I’m with you that the change was confusing). The entire file is backed up if changed.

If you schedule block-level backups, only the files that changed are backed up, and only the parts of those files that changed are backed up - Allows you to speed up backups by not having to back up large files that only changed in a small part.

Just a terminology change. Full changed to Incremental, which it really was since all files in the backup set were never backed up in full as a group after the initial full backup.

That error is not coming from MSP360. It's from some product called CloudProtect. Do you have more than one product installed?

Can you verify if CCleaner is triggering a UAC prompt on the remote PC when it runs? Can you confirm whether you are using the QuickSupport option on the remote PC or are you using the full Remote Assistant on both ends?

I understand. Simple just copies the files and would allow you to access with another product. It's possible that some files were changed internally. If you think that the product is still picking up file changes incorrectly, then I would need you to open a support case using the Tools | Diagnostic toolbar option. Thanks.

Yes, but only if you keep the same backup type. If you change to Advanced that’s not possible. The backup format is proprietary. I think you need to explain again what you need? Is it a desire to move to Advanced mode but retain the backups already made with Custom mode?

You can't move the files. There is no such thing as a move in Glacier anyway. The best way to correct this is to switch to advanced mode and back up the files again to Glacier.

I'm not sure what you're referring to with network costs related to moving storage providers. But I'll reiterate that backing up to Glacier is not ideal. We do support it with the stand-alone products, but do not support it with our MSP-focused products. If cheap is what you are after, I think you'll have a much better experience using something like Wasabi or Backblaze B2. But as I stated above, if you want to keep Glacier, create a new backup plan and switch the type to advanced and back up the files again. Once that is complete and you are sure you will not need the files you currently have backed up, you can delete the old files from the Storage tab in the client.
