• drives will not map
when you say map, you don't mean map like a network drive, right? You're asking about setting up cloud storage? If so what cloud storage, and are you sure that your security credentials have not changed? You can always check that from the cloud management console for whichever provider you're using.
  • "File size too big" error with B2
Yes. Sorry. I thought you were using Backup. I do not recall a recent change to the maximum object size. What version of Explorer were you using previously?
  • Inability change\retain retention plan
So if you're not using advanced mode, what mode are you using? I'll wait for your answer, but I'm pretty sure that's the reason. That is, you need to be using advanced mode.
  • "File size too big" error with B2
You can also check your Options - Advanced - Chunk Size. Possibly it's set too low and you are hitting the maximum number of chunks allowed. But you should be using a more recent version of the software.
  • "File size too big" error with B2
version 6.0 has not been supported in a very long time. Please upgrade to a more recent version and try again.
  • Internet connection is not available (Code: 1020)
I recommend you open a support case using the tools diagnostic toolbar option. I'll put a note in the system that you're sending in the logs as the team would like to review. Please put a note when you submit the logs that I requested you send them in. Thanks.
  • New version 2.6
You shouldn't have that issue going forward.
  • Large file resorted in parts
Thanks for the update. Please reply here if you have any further questions.
  • New version 2.6
do you recall what version you upgraded from? There were some reported issues of older versions losing connection info which is why I'm asking.
  • Signal to Noise Ratio Errors
Can you log into the network equipment from Spectrum and see what it's reporting? It's likely reported in the cable modem, DSL modem, or other equipment being used for the broadband connection.
  • Signal to Noise Ratio Errors
The signal-to-noise ratio is the signal to noise. I do not see how a software product would create noise on the line. It's possible because there is less data going over the wire when backups are not running that the SNR noise issues on the line are not noticed. And when backups run and start using more upstream bandwidth, the existing noise is more noticeable since the data is affected and the errors are trying to correct.

Is this multiple customers or just one? I would think an investigation of the broadband connection and the local network is in order. You may be able to measure the SNR from the broadband equipment already connected from Spectrum or your network equipment at the customer.

Please post any updates on this issue as I'd like to track.
  • Exchange server backup best practice.
use our Exchange edition for backing up Exchange servers.
  • Moving computer to another company.
We do offer an onboarding service, if that's something you think would be beneficial. I believe the cost is now listed in the buy option in the management interface. Also feel free to reach out to your account manager who can put you in touch with the solution engineer if you have any technical questions or you can of course leverage support. Or you can post here if you like.
  • Moving computer to another company.
The way you are doing now would put all your customers in the same Company. You essentially have different User authentication accounts for one company, it sounds like. What you should do is create each Company / Customer and at least one User / Authentication account for each customer. Each Company can use the same Cloud Storage account if desired.
  • Why Do I Have 4 Different Versions of an Outlook .PST in Amazon S3?
Where are you looking in the management interface to see the user's storage use? Are you looking in Reporting - Storage Usage? Somewhere else?
  • Moving computer to another company.
Go to Remote Management, click the gear icon and select Edit - Edit Account and you can move to another company.
  • Inability change\retain retention plan
are you by chance using Simple mode for your backup? If so, there's no retention support for simple mode. If not, support has requested you send the logs from the Tools Diagnostic toolbar option.
  • Inability change\retain retention plan
I would try cloning the plan and see if the copy allows you to make the necessary edits.
  • Inability change\retain retention plan
The old backup style is supported in the new version as well. Just have to drop down the backup toolbar option and select the legacy format. The new format uses GFS retention, whereas the old backup format uses the older version based retention. You can use either but if you prefer the legacy format it's available.
