  • Prefilled Encryption Key in MBS portal - Big Problem
Can you document the steps here Steve? I tried editing a few plans and could not duplicate that issue, so maybe I'm doing something differently than you are.
  • Delete Cloud Data When No Longer Using A Backup Plan
You can click the Red X on the User and select the "Delete backed up data only" from those computers. But that deletes all data for that endpoint.

To delete a data for a specific backup, you can use the agent's Backup Storage tab and delete the backup plan (if using the new backup format since new backup format plans are organized on the left by plan name). If using the legacy backup format, and you have multiple plans backing up different folders on the same drive, you'd have to drill into those folders and perform a selective delete. I would recommend you fully review the backup plan before deleting it, and make a note of what is backed up to make deletion easier. Using the backup storage tab will ensure the local repository is kept up to date.

You can also use Explorer, as Steve mentioned, but your repository may be out of sync with respect to those files deleted, and if you're using the legacy backup format, you'd have to synchronize the repository once the deletes are complete.
  • File Transfer Protocol
Are you saying when you register your Google Cloud account using Access / Secret Key, there is no Use SSL option?
  • File Transfer Protocol
What cloud are you using? Google?
  • File Transfer Protocol
Sorry, but I assumed this was a remote desktop question, and not an explorer one. If your connection to the cloud is set up with HTTPS, then the connection would being encrypted using that protocol.
  • MSP Storage Password
You set up Storage in the management console, not in the agent with our Managed Backup. That's where you will enter credentials for Wasabi and set up one or more backup destinations (buckets) based on region or need.

You create your customer (we call them Companies) and a Service Account (we call them Users) in the management console. You get the agent download from the Downloads section, install the agent, and then you can find newly installed agents in the RMM - Remote Management section, where you can quickly assign a license from the license pool and attach the user account so the service knows which customer/company the agent is a part of.

I do weekly webinars with demos every Thursday at 12 PM ET. You can sign up here if you want for this Thursday: https://get.msp360.com/webinar/getting-started-with-msp360-managed-backup

But the best option for you is probably to reach out to your account manager and ask them for a demo - which they will be more than happy to deliver.
  • File Transfer Protocol
I'll have to check the actual details, but I am guessing if the connection uses encryption, then the file transfer uses the same.
  • File Transfer Protocol
I believe it's proprietary. Can you elaborate on exactly what you're looking for here?
  • Frequent Crashing with error RaConfig.Read: There is an error in XML document (0, 0)
This error seems to indicate otherwise. I do not knwo why the app is picking up 4.0 installed version. Maybe try installing .NET 4.5 as I think it can co-exist with 4.8.

    -- Application: CloudRaService.exe
    -- Framework Version: v4.0.30319
  • Configuring incremental backups with periodic full backup
What cloud are you using for your backup target?

Every incremental will contain all the new files / changes. Run the full backup once a month if that works for you. As long as you're on a supported cloud for synthetic full backups, we;ll run a synthetic full and create a new backup set and then the incremental backups will continue for another month. But if you're not using a cloud with synthetic backup support, we'll need to run a new full, which is not something you'll probably want to happen - hence my question at the top of this post.

You keep backups using two options in the new backup format: Use the Keep Backups For option to determine how long you keep backups on disk (say 90 days) and use the GFS options to determine how many weekly, monthly, and / or annual backups you want to keep for short-term and longer-term retention.

As I mentioned, the legacy backup format for files is version based and is incremental forever, but you lose many of the newer features. But for some customers, that format is preferred based on their needs. You may want to go through the backup wizard using the legacy format and review the options to see which is best for your particular need. It may be based on your description above.
  • Configuring incremental backups with periodic full backup
it sounds like you're using the new backup format, in that case the full will run in place of the incremental that day. But depending on your needs you may also be happy using the legacy backup plan format, is that plan is an incremental forever, but you do lose some of the newer capabilities of the new backup format like deduplication, synthetic full backups in the cloud, GFS, and immutable backups, if you need any of those more advanced features.
  • Frequent Crashing with error RaConfig.Read: There is an error in XML document (0, 0)
check your.net version. You need to be on the latest. Or at least 4.5 as I recall
  • Clock not syncronized issue
Thanks for this information. We've had other reports with Windows 11 having the same issue. I'll make sure to add this to the knowledge base and notify the engineering team. As of right now, Windows 11 is not yet officially supported. I'll reply back when I have a date with full support.
  • Linux Dedpulication
No, it doesn't. The new backup format is not yet available for use with Linux and Mac. If I get an estimated date on when it might be available I'll reply here. However, there is block level backup support for Linux. So if you're backing up large files that only change a little from backup to backup we do have that support to only backup the changes within the files.
  • "Cannot read x files" not reporting in Event Log
In the meantime, the team is going to have a look. But they may need to see the logs, so if I reply with that request, please submit the logs at that time using the Tools - Diagnostic toolbar option. Thanks.
  • "Cannot read x files" not reporting in Event Log

    Two questions:
1 - Are you using Managed Backup or is the the stand-alone CloudBerry Backup? (If it's Managed, I'll move the post the correct forum section)

2 - Have you examined the logs or detailed report on what those 5 files were and if the "cannot read" warning is relevant?

In the meantime, I'll check again with the team, but feel free to open a support case if you want faster turn-around on this issue.
  • CloudBerry Remote Desktop does not show Computer ID
It's out now for the free version of remote desktop. go to the download page. We posted the blog post and I posted something in the forum yesterday about it.

If you're looking though, however, for the managed version, managed remote desktop, then that Mac version will be available next year.
  • Is Remote Desktop Free for Personal Use?
did you download the free version or did you register for a trial for managed remote desktop? If free, then it's free. It sounds like you have the free version from what you're saying.
  • CloudBerry Remote Desktop does not show Computer ID

Please keep in mind that the ability to connect to a remote macOS system is not yet available, but it will be very soon for the free product.

What device are you trying to connect to? That remote device is where you get the computer ID. Please describe in more detail what you’re trying to do, and I’ll help you through the process. Thanks.
